I Do... Or Maybe I Don't....
Listening to the local radio station this morning, the topic of marriage came up of course for many this is a very touchy subject either it turns into a religious manifest or a huge disagreement about wedding vowels. This morning was no different the subject of the marriage discussion was centered around "Till death do us part should be changed to.. Until our love is untrue." This sparked a frenzy from the host getting upset because why marry someone if you do not plan to be with them until one or both has past on? Then others felt as though Till death do us part makes a person feel as though you are trapped. But is saying Until our love is untrue any better? I often wonder what happened along the years that marriage isn't what it once was, where two people enjoyed each others company, actually stayed and worked out problems, and knew that their marriage was deeper than words, it was a feeling and a lifetime commitment. There are some people that feel as though marriage is still sacred and hold true to the vowels. I believe that within any relationship one can not go into it with doubts and already prescribed notions because once you do there is a lack or trust and devotion to your partner. Marriage isn't for everyone but if you make it for you don't live for the words that you recited but for the love and commitment in your soul. **PEACE**
